MISSION AND RESPONSIBILITIES This is a Supply Chain Packaging Technical Leader (Senior Manager - Packaging) position within Covergirl, Rimmel, and Max Factor North America with direct line management responsibility for developing/implementing packaging and master data excellence. This includes primary, secondary, and tertiary packaging. It requires understanding multiple packaging materials and configurations. It also requires the ability to manage and execute multiple projects at once. This position has the responsibility of working closely with cross-functional team members to develop and launch new product/packaging solutions into the market in addition to cost-saving initiatives and continuous improvement opportunities on current products. Develop packaging for new products, insourcing, innovation, and refreshers Lead a Team of Packaging Engineers and Master Data Team Managing and executing multiple packaging projects while developing a working knowledge of technologies. This is inclusive of leading projects related to sustaining base business, innovation, cost savings, sustainability and continuous quality improvements. Troubleshooting issues that arise during assessment, feasibility, development, and commercialization; implementing a plan of action and executing the plan Leading the update and phasing in and out of new component specs across brands while working with multiple functions to minimize downtime and cost. Coordinate the preparation of package prototypes for functional testing according to ASTM methods Manage IP (intellectual property) within the area of responsibility Supplier Management and Material Issue Resolution including coordinating the development efforts with outside component suppliers as well as contract manufacturers both domestically and internationally THE COTY IDEAL FIT Bachelor's Degree in Packaging, Chemical Engineering, or related field Minimum of 3 - 5+ years of related experience preferred Certified Packaging Professional (CPP) preferred Depth of technical expertise on multiple packaging materials, Ecommerce, or packaging/processing systems Demonstrates leadership and influencing skills Good problem-solving skills Master Data Ability to write and execute an implementation plan on a project using sound technical methodology Good organizational skills to manage the documentation, materials, and information. SAP and Spec System knowledge a plus Proficient PC skills – Excel / Powerpoint and Esko System. Proficient communication skills (written & verbal), to be able to deal effectively with all levels of our organization AND our suppliers. Travel to vendors and plants will be a requirement (10-15% of time) The facility runs a 3 shift operation, core hours will be first shift but must be able to support all shifts as needed
