The Human Resources Manager develops strategic relationships by understanding the business, challenges, opportunities and needs of the leaders and employees at the cultivation and manufacturing plant (the plant) and wellness center. The Human Resources Manager enhances and maintains those relationships by coaching and advising employees and leaders on HR related topics. The Human Resources Manager is the primary point of contact for HR related matters at the plant and wellness center and partners with other HR functional areas to support the needs of the leaders and employees in the buildings. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: include the following. Other duties may be assigned. HR partnership: · Ensures that human resource services delivered at the plant and wellness center are value added, effective and consistent with both departmental and organizational business and strategic objectives. · Is proactive in identifying employee engagement opportunities and takes initiative in developing and implementing appropriate action plans with key business partners · Engages with site leadership and assists in the communication of company and position expectations · Leads from the plant floor by being present in the operational areas at every shift · Conducts chat sessions with leaders and staff to ensure a continuous HR connection and partnership · Conducts 1:1’s with key business partners routinely to ensure effective communication across departments · Designs and implements programs and recognition activities that boost morale · Provides employee relations, performance management, corrective action guidance and training support to the management team. · Provides necessary consulting support and takes proactive steps to enhance the growth of a performance-based culture in areas of assigned responsibility. This includes, but is not limited to, providing consultation on performance management issues, fostering a learning environment and influencing leadership on appropriate rewards and recognition functions for their staff. Compliance: · Maintain continual awareness and understanding of complete set of specific rules determined by federal and state labor laws and by the Maryland Medical Cannabis Commission · Oversee MMCC badging process · Oversee file administration HR Projects: · Leads in the design, development and implementation of special projects and human resource initiatives, either self-initiated by the HR Manager or as assigned by the CHRO. These projects could involve organizational development and staffing strategies, strategic planning, change management, leadership development, and conflict resolution. Other: · Leads orientation, onboarding and offboarding processes · Oversees new employee 30, 60, 90-day check-in and review process · Attend and add value to team meetings · Participate in strategic discussions about the company, direction, execution, etc. · Engage in honest, innovative, problem solving dialogue · Perform other staff functions or other HR responsibilities depending on needs at the Plant · Promote the mission, vision, and company values at all times QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
