Job Description Summary Performs physical and/or administrative tasks involved in the shipping, receiving, storing, distributing and order fulfillment of merchandise, products, materials, parts, supplies and equipment. Responsible for cycle counting activities Packages and prepares products and merchandise for final shipment and posts weights and shipping charges. Must have forklift certification. Identifies, troubleshoots, and resolves basic issues associated with material/warehouse operations. Proficient/Working Skills: Must be proficient in English with the ability to read, write, analyze/evaluate charts, follow simple diagrams and perform basic arithmetic Basic proficiency with PCs (Personal Computers) and basic use of Windows environment is required Use independent judgment to plan, perform, make decisions, troubleshoot and problem solve Must be able to work in a repetitive work environment and be able to stand for long periods of time Basic Skills: Ability to work on assignments that are manual and routine in nature with the skill to recognize any deviations from specification Can effectively work in a team setting and communicate effectively across the department Must be able to maintain neat, accurate and complete records and logs, both manually and/or electronically on a personal computer Must be able to effectively manage frequent assignment changes Minimum Education/Experience Qualifications: •High school degree with 2 years’ experience in a shipping environment •Ability to operate material handling equipment (pallet jacket, forklift, shrink wrapper) – must be able to obtain in-house fork truck certification •Valid driver’s license required Preferred Qualifications: •1 year SAP Previous work experience Becton, Dickinson and Company is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
