Role Summary/Purpose: The Human Resources Coordinator will be responsible for assisting functions in the human resources department with an emphasis on recruiting and training support. Perform administrative and clerical duties to fulfill department initiatives. Will serve as the focal point to greet employees and visitors for HR appointments. Assist with other human resources job related duties as required. Essential Responsibilities: • Schedule a high volume of candidate interviews – both phone and onsite • Conduct recruiting searches applicable to open positions and pre-screen applications • Initiate outreach efforts with vo-tech/high schools, colleges, and community associations • Assist in coordination of summer university internship program • Perform tasks in Applicant Tracking System (ATS) to ensure accuracy of candidate records • Track recruiting data for reporting purposes and staffing plans • Extend contingent employment offers and enforce pre-employment requirements • Maintain employee personnel files (paper and electronic) to ensure accuracy and compliance • Assist with all new hire orientation activities • Assist with onboarding of agency contractors • Coordinate training materials and schedules • Assist employees with general questions and appointments • Other tasks as needed Requirements Education and Experience: • Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent work experience • At least four years related HR experience required • SHRM-CP credential preferred Required Skills/Abilities: • Excellent verbal and written communication skills • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail • Excellent time management skills/proven ability to meet deadlines • Knowledge of human resource practices and procedures • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite software
