BASIC FUNCTION: To manage the purchasing team’s daily functions and global success. To provide comprehensive & timely purchasing and shipping service. This role is critical to the success of our internal operations and our customers that we are proud to serve. RESPONSIBILITIES: Manage the Purchasing Team’s daily and overarching responsibilities. Ensure purchasing team meets departmental goals. Prepare for and participate in internal meetings. Coordinate with team members to provide status updates for the purchasing team. Purchase various items such as required materials and goods to support daily operations. Ensure prompt and effective delivery of essential goods. Negotiate prices. Liaise with suppliers. Purchasing and handling receiving requests. Create packing lists. Any other duties as required. REQUIREMENTS: BA/BS in Supply Chain Management or similar field required. 2 years minimum previous experience in a purchasing role required. 2 years minimum previous experience in a Supervisory/Management role required. Pharmaceutical/CDMO experience preferred. Must be skilled in software such as MS Word, Excel, Access, as well as other software related to the specific job functions. Demonstrates excellent personal organization skills. Leadership skills. Uses initiative. Strong interpersonal skills demonstrated at all levels of the organization.
