We believe people should love what they do – in this role, you will be responsible for: Performing in-process and final inspections on hybrid and microelectronic components and assemblies utilizing quality control tools and preferred methods. Job Duties: 1. Perform audits and inspections of in-process or final microelectronic assemblies within the Electronic Systems value stream by assuring product quality by determining compliance to drawings, procedures, and part specifications. 2. Apply established inspection procedures and use inspection testing tools and instruments to determine conformance. 3. Utilize judgement and reasoning for in-process and final inspection in accordance with inspection processes and procedures. 4. Recommend changes to procedures, process, and product drawings to improve efficiencies and/or the quality of the final product. 5. Identify and document nonconforming material. 6. Assist and train others in assuring proper methods and procedures are used in item manufacturing. 7. Ensure adherence to policies and procedures accordingly. 8. Ability to grow the microelectronics inspection skill set via hands-on experience working closely with the Subject Matter Expert, Process Engineers, and Peers. 9. Practice Total Quality principles and concepts. 10. Acquire IPC-610/STD 001 and IPC-620 Certifications. Qualifications: 1. Microelectronics assembly or inspection background is a plus. 2. Knowledge of manufacturing and quality assurance standard processes. 3. Knowledge of military and commercial quality specifications. 4. Knowledge of statistical process control. 5. Knowledge of workmanship standards in regard to soldering, wiring, bonding, etc. 6. Knowledge of packaging and preservation requirements for microelectronic assemblies. 7. Understanding of Total Quality principles and concepts. 8. Strong verbal and written communication skills. 9. Ability to use electrical inspection equipment (i.e. microscope). 10. Ability to develop and utilize simple to complex inspection set-ups. 11. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret detailed specifications, drawings, procedures, and schematics. 12. Strong ability to work in a team environment. Physical Requirements: Visual requirements is the minimum standard for this role. This role involves a large amount of visual inspections involving microscopic parts, very small defects, and an abundant amount of time under a microscope. This person will be seated at a single station for prolonged period of times during the work day. Education and Experience Required: High School diploma required. 1-2 years of experience in a microelectronic type field.
