Description and requirements • Ensure that sales goals are met. Cover direct territory and manage Manufacturing Representatives designated projects to obtain sales goals. • Provide verbal & written pricing proposals to Manufacturing Representatives &/or customers directly based on a review of information received. • Set sales quotas for the sales team and hold them accountable and take corrective action as needed. • Maintain a competitive edge through a consultative sales process and advocation for the customer. • Negotiate and close agreements with customers at a profitable level. • Report all market intelligence information regarding competitive positioning. Provide feedback for improving existing products and developing new products. • Establish professional relationships with key personnel in assigned customer accounts. • Create, maintain, & develop strategic plans in-order to sell customers on the proper solution that is aligned with the customer needs. May involve working with other OEMs. • Manage elements of the CRM & RFQ process for assigned leads &/or projects, e.g., lead generation, RFQ, CRM portal, sales forecasts, etc. • Assist in developing an and execution of an effective marketing strategy. Education and Experience • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering preferred • Bachelor’s Degree in Sales, Business Administration, or relevant field • Minimum 10 years’ experience in a consultative solution-based role selling highly engineered, customized industrial machinery. • Proficiency using MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint etc.). • Proficiency in working with a CRM system Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities • Ability to read and understand customer supplied elements-drawings and specifications • Deep understanding in Business to Business & Distribution channels. • Track record of growing and maintaining a book of business • Strong communication, interpersonal and analytical skills • Ability to work independently, develop and execute sourcing strategies, procure components across multiple categories, and deliver savings and improve lead times • Knowledge of GMP (good manufacturing practices) as well as ISPE (International Society of Pharmaceutical Engineer) Standards is a plus. Travel Requirement 30 - 50% of the time Physical Requirements Job requires sitting, talking and hearing more than 75% of the time, standing, walking, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, or lifting less than 25% of the time. Environmental Conditions Moderate noise level.
