Job Description: Reporting to the Director of Finance, the Senior Accountant is responsible for providing financial support to the Operations organization and other senior leadership members. The incumbent will directly work with Directors, Human Resources personnel, and other functional areas to validate cost, sourcing analysis, evaluate capital requirements, and manage operating costs. The role will provide analytical and business decision support for developing the annual budget, forecasting, and understanding of actual results and variances to plan. Responsibilities: The Senior Accountant is responsible for the maintenance of the general ledger, manufacturing accounting and analysis and, variance reporting. The incumbent is also responsible for the daily administration of the Company's Retirement Savings Plan (401k). The incumbent will also assist in Operational budgeting and forecasting, monthly close activities and monitoring and valuation of all types of inventory. The Senior Accountant will calculate Commission earnings for Business Development and Project Management personnel. The incumbent will also administer the Corporate American Express Card program and process employee expense reports for accuracy, approvals and payment. The incumbent will also serve as a backup resource for the processing of payroll through ADP or the then current payroll system. Prepare ad hoc schedules for management. Provide support during the annual and benefits related audit process by working with the external auditors to answer queries and provide analysis required in a timely manner. Qualifications/Requirements: Bachelors degree or equivalent in either accounting or finance. Four to seven years of Accounting experience, strong technical US GAAP accounting knowledge. Must be highly analytical and inquisitive with strong organizational abilities, keen attention to detail and ability to meet monthly deadlines and goals. Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office; expert in Excel and proficient in PowerPoint and Word. Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner; Gathers and analyzes information skillfully;designs workflows and procedures. Writes clearly and informatively; Edits work for spelling and grammar, presents numeric data effectively; able to read and interpret written information. Follows policies and procedures; Completes administrative tasks correctly and on time; Supports Pii's goals and values. Adapts to changes in the work environment; Changes approach or method to best fir the situation; Able to deal with frequent changes, delays or unexpected events. Pharmaceutics International, Inc.
